Gordon B. Allison

Gordon B. ( Cork ) Allison, 52, of Walkup St., Millersburg, died Saturday evening, suddenly in Columbus of an apparent heart attack. He was taken ill in a Columbus hotel after attending the Ohio State - Wisconsin football game. He was born July 11, 1914, in Holmes County, the son of Errett C. and Aletia ( Larimore ) Allison. He was married in 1938 to Margaret Miller, whom he leaves Mr. Allison was a member of the Methodist Church n Millersbug. He had been a lineman for Helman - Wayne Electric for the last 23 years. Besides his wife he leaves two children, John of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Mrs. Richard ( Marilee ) Faught of Millersburg and one sister, Mrs. John ( Eloise ) Groff of Millersburg, RD. One brother and half sister preceded him in death. Funeral services was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ellott - Hartline Funeral Home with Dr. James Norton officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Margaret Allison, 90

Margaret Louise Allison, 90, of Millersburg, died Sunday, April 22, 2007, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a short illness. She was born Aug. 29, 1916, in Millersburg, and was the daughter of John and Mary (Chevellard) Miller. She married Gordon "Cork" Allison and he preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1966. Margaret worked 25 years for Millersburg Tire and eight years as a greeter for Wal - Mart. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Millersburg and a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Bank, the Board of Elections and served on various church committees. Surviving are a son, John Allison of Monaca, Pa.; a daughter, Marilee Allison of Canton; four grandchildren, Jason and Kim Faught, Ryan Faught, Steve and Julie Allison and Doug Allison; six great - grandchildren, Jeffery and Bradley Allison, Rebecca, Jacob, Rachael and Chloe Faught. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. The Rev. Tom Michaels officiated. Burial was at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg. Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Senior Center.
