Errett C. Allison

Errett C. Allison, life long resident of Holmes County passed away at the Pomerene Memorial Hospital Thursday morning April 24, 1952. He was born near Welcome Ohio on July 6th, 1884, the son of W. Desylvia and Ada E. Brink Allison. In 1908 he was united in marriage with Aletia Larimore. To this union were born a daughter and two sons, Mrs. D. A. Groff, of Millersburg; Eldon Allison of Columbus and Gordon Allison of Millersburg. He is survived by Mrs. Allison, the daughter and the two sons, together with five grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers. Ernie, Guy and Payne Allison, all of Millersburg; five sisters, Mrs. Robert Damon, Millersburg; Mrs. Ralph Christopher, Cleveland; Mrs. Hazel Michael, Glenmont; Mrs. Jessie Johnson, Canton; and Mrs. Zora Castell. Nashville. A daughter, Mrs. Amy Allison Bickel and a sister, Mrs. Mary Franks preceded him in death. He was a member of the Christian Church of Welcome. He was also a member of the Isaac Walton League, and was at the time of his death a member of Spartan Lodge No. 126 F. & A. M. of over twenty five years standing. Masonic Memorial services were held on Friday evening April 25th at the Elliott - Myers Funeral Home, and funeral services were conducted there on Saturday afternoon April 26 by Rolling W. Dunahugh, pastor of the Millersburg Church of Christ. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery at Millersburg.
