Glen White Dies Suddenly of Heart Attack

Glen G. White, son of George W. and Amy Haviland White, was born in Marshall, Minnesota, on June 17th, 1903. He came to Iowa with his parents when he was a small boy. The family settled on the old White farm southeast of Nashua and Glen later purchased the farm and still owned it at the time of his death.

He was married October 3, 1924, to Mildred Zwanziger of near Horton. To this union four children were born: Leonard and Roger of Nashua; Mrs. Delbert Lantz (Amy Lou) of Waterloo; and Donna May, who died in infancy. The couple farmed in the Plainfield-Horton vicinity for several years before moving to Nashua, where his wife passed away on September 22, 1945.

Glen had been living in Waterloo and was employed at the Rath Packing Company.

Surviving are two sons; Roger and Leonard of Nashua; and one daughter, Mrs. Delbert Lantz; and one grandson, Steven Lantz, of Waterloo; two brothers, Kenneth and Willis and one sister, Mrs. Lewis (Mildred) Dietz, all of this city. Also his fiance, Mrs. Ruth Green, and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife and infant daughter and two brothers.

Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church in Plainfield on Tuesday, October 30, with the Rev. John Anderson officiiating. Burial was in the Horton Cemetery."

"Mildred Zwanziger White

Mildred Mae Zwanziger, daughter of Howard and Lulu Zwanziger, was born Nov. 3, 1906, near Horton. Her father and sister Bernita preceded her in death. Mildred had been subject to a heart ailment several years [sic] and a sudden attack of this trouble caused her death Sept. 22.

She was a member of the Horton Baptist church and the Nashua Rebekah lodge. She attended school in Plainfield.

She was married to Glenn White in 1924 and they lived near Horton until two years ago when they moved to Nashua, their home since.

She is survived by her husband; a son Leonard now with the army in Germany, a daughter and son, Amy Lou and Roger, at home; her mother who lives in Plainfield, and tow brothers, Jas. of Plainfield and Paul of Nashua.

Her funeral was conducted from the Horton Baptist church Sept. 25 by Rev. E. L. Hanscom of the Little Brown Church, Nashua, and burial was in the Horton cemevery. Music was by Ralph and Claude Carpenter, who sang "In the Garden", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". They were accmopanied [sic] by Ferna Carpenter.

Pall bearers were Kee Beck, Claire Johnson, William Buckel, Lloyd Loemis, Roy Fox and Robert King. Mrs. Claire Johnson and Mrs. William Buckell took care of the flowers. The church was crowded and the flowers were many and beautiful."
