E. R. ABBOTT DEAD
Erastes Ralph Abbott died Sunday morning, March 22, 1914 at 10:15 A.M. at his home on Sixth Street and Eleventh Avenue in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Iowa, of pneumonia, after an illness of nine days. He was born March 10, 1867, in Adair County, Iowa, and on August 5, 1895, he was married to Miss Fannie Margaret Shoemaker, in Fremont County, Iowa. He is survived by the widow and the following children, Adam J. Abbott of Coburg, Iowa, Miss Madge J. Abbott, Adam, Peter, Suel, Elsie, and Mariam, all living at home. While living in Iowa he engages in farming, but March 1, 1912 came to this city to make his home. For some time he has been in charge of the street sweeper. He was a hard working man and greatly respected by all who knew him.
The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services was conducted by Rev. A. E. Rapp of the Baptist Church, of which church he was a member.

MRS. FANNY ABBOTT FUNERAL PENDING
Mrs. Fanny Abbott, 99, former resident of Nebraska City, Iowa, died early Thursday at Wahoo, Nebraska.
The body was removed to Gude Mortuary.
Mrs. Abbott had been making her home with a daughter, Mrs. Melvin Cohn.

LONGTIME CITIZEN DIES ON THURSDAY
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 P.M., at Gude Mortuary for Mrs. Fannie Abbott, a resident of Nebraska City, Nebraska, for more than a half century. Mrs. Abbott died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Elsie) Cohn, Colon, Nebraska, which is north of Wahoo.
Mrs. Abbott would have been 100 years old November 5.
Rev. Ralph Dyer will officiate at services. Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska.
Mrs. Abbott was born in Pocahontas, Iowa, November 5, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram (Schmacher)Shoemaker. She married Erastus Ralph Abbott in Imogene, Iowa in 1887. Mr. Abbott died in March 1913.
Mrs. Abbott was a housewife.
Survivors include a son, Albert, Nebraska City, Nebraska, and her daughter, Mrs. Cohn. Three sons, four daughter, four brothers, and a sister preceded her in death.
Another survivor is Robert Abbott, whom Mrs. Abbott raised after his mother died when he was one month old.
Forty-four grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie M. Abbott were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 P.M., at the Gude Mortuary. Rev. Ralph Dyer officiated and burial was at Wyuka Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Eugene Abbott, Darrel Abbott, Martin Abbott, Douglas Abbott, Jerry Abbott, and Dwayne Hogencamp.
