"George J. Miller, 90, of rural New London, died Friday, September 1, 1995, at his home.

Born September 16, 1904, near Pleasant Grove, he was the son of John and Esther (sic) Miller.

Mr. Miller was a farmhand for most of his life. He attended Prairie Grove Church as a child.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews, including Ralph Miller, Robert Miller, Keith Miller and Doris Anderson, all of Danville, and Elaine Ledman of West Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and six brothers.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services for Mr. Miller will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, West Burlington, with the Reverend Bob Dodds officiating."

Mrs. Mildred M. Kennedy, 58 of 1309 Campbell Avenue, died Sunday 11:45 a.m. (April 28, 1968) in Burlington hospital.

She was born September 21, 1909, in Burlington, the daughter of Phillip and Mary Elizabeth Judd Wolverton. August 17, 1937, she married Francis Leo Kennedy in Burlington. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of First United Church of Christ, the women's fellowship and a mission circle of the church.

Surviving: A son, Phillip Kennedy, at home: three sisters, Grace Wolverton, Burlington, Mrs. Mary Jane Helmuth, Broomfield, Colorado, and Mrs. Clara Leaverton. East Moline, Illinois; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services: Tuesday 2 p.m. in First United Church of Christ, the Reverend Donald V. Klohr; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the church.
