Biography
Phineas Hull may have been born and married in New Jersey. One census record shows that son Peter was born in New Jersey, although biographies on Peter Hull state he was born in Pennsylvania. The other children were born in Pennsylvania. He probably died in Dec 1807 or early Jan 1808.
He resided in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania in 1790. He is on the tax lists for Augusta Twp, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania in 1802 and 1803 as the owner of 130 acres.[1]
Letters of administration for his estate were granted to Mary Hull and John Wolverton on 10 Jan 1808 in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania per Will Book 2, page 7. [2]
His children were Charles, Peter, Isaac, Mahlon and James Hull, and Sarah and Mary Shipman. His identity as the father of his children was established after his death during the probate of the estate of his father Meshack Hull in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.[3] The Orphan Court Minutes of Hunterdon County, New Jersey identifes his children of Phineas who petitioned the court for division of the real estate of the estate of "Mashil Hull" (Meshack Hull), father of Phineas Hull:
Application being made to this Court by Charles Hull one of the heirs at law of Phenias Hull late of the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania dec’d and also attorney infact of Peter Hull, Isaac Hull, Mahlon Hull, James Hull, Sarah the wife of William Shipman and Mary the wife of Harmon Shipman who are also the children and heirs of Phineas Hull deceased all of the State of Pennsylvania Stating that Mashil Hull late of the County of Hunterdon deceased, died siezed of considerable real Estate Situate in the Township of Bethlehem and County of Hunterdon and State of New Jersey -- That he left issue four children viz Phineas Hull who is Since departed this life leaving issue above named, and James Hull, Mary the wife of George Wells and Rachael the wife of Philip Myers and that the said Rachael Myers hath since departed this life, leaving issue, all of whom are minors, and entitled to the share of said real estate which would be coming to their mother.[4]
The heirs sold this land; the deeds from the children of Phineas Hull, identified the relationship to Phineas Hull and to Meshack Hull in each deed. Although all seven of the children of Phineas Hull resided in Pennsylvania in February 1825 when they requested the division of property, six of the seven resided in Richland County, Ohio in February 1835 when the property was sold.[5]

Biography
Mary Wolverton/Woolverton was the daughter of Charles Wolverton and Mary Drake.[1] She was born about May 1771 if her tombstone is correctly identified and if it has her correct age at death.
Letters of administration for the estate of Phineas Hull were granted to widow Mary Hull and (her brother) John Wolverton on 10 Jan 1808 in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.[2]
Widow Mary Hull resided in Northumberland Co, PA in 1810 and 1820.

Mary Hull widow (probably about age 39)
Four males: one under 10, three age 10-15
Three females: one under 10, one age 10-15, one age 26-44[3]
In 1817 and 1818, seven children were listed as heirs of their father Phineas Hull, deceased who were also heirs of their paternal grandfather Meshack Hull in the Orphan Court minutes of Hunterdon County, New Jersey.[4]
Application being made to this Court by Charles Hull one of the heirs at law of Phenias Hull late of the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania dec’d and also attorney in fact of Peter Hull, Isaac Hull, Mahlon Hull, James Hull, Sarah the wife of William Shipman and Mary the wife of Harmon Shipman who are also the children and heirs of Phineas Hull deceased all of the State of Pennsylvania Stating that Mashil Hull late of the County of Hunterdon deceased, died siezed of considerable real Estate Situate in the Township of Bethlehem and County of Hunterdon and State of New Jersey.
1820
Augusta Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States
Widow Hull (probably about age 49)
One female age 10-15, one female over 45[5]
In 1828, Mary Hull gave son Isaac Hull "Letters of Attorney" before she moved west [6]
She was probably the older women residing with son-in-law Harmon Shipman in 1830 and 1840 in Franklin Twp, Knox Co, OH. Six of her seven children were living in or near Richland County, Ohio in 1835 when they sold their share of inherited land to son Isaac Hull who had stayed in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.[7] Although the deed listed "Harmon Shipman and Mary his wife late Mary Hull, all of the county of Richland and Sate of Ohio", Harmon and Mary Shipman were listed on the census in neighboring Franklin Township, Knox County, Ohio. The other siblings were listed in Congress Township, Richland County, Ohio. (After the creation of Morrow County, Ohio, in 1848 from Richland, Knox and two other counties, both Franklin and Congress Townships are now in Morrow County, Ohio.)[8]
1830
Franklin Township, Knox County, Ohio, United States
Harmon Shipman
Three males: two under 5, one age 20-29
Four females: one under 5, one age 5-9, one age 20-29, one age 50-59
Mary Hull may have been the woman age about 59 residing with daughter Mary and husband Harmon Shipman[9]
1840
Franklin Township, Knox County, Ohio, United States
Harmon Shipman
Eight males: three under 5, two age 5-9, one age 10-14, one age 15-19, one age 30-39
Four females: one age 5-9, one age 15-19, one age 30-39, one age 60-69
Mary Hull may have been the woman age about 69 residing with daughter Mary and husband Harmon Shipman[10]
Mary Hull died 19 Feb 1841 and was buried in Bryn Zion Cemetery. The tombstone says that she was age 69 years, 9 months and 8 days. This tombstone is next to a teenage Sarah Shipman who died in 1840. The tombstone is near infant grandchildren and great grandchildren. It is not far from the tombstones of her son Peter Hull and daughter Mary Hull Shipman. Son Charles Hull was also buried at that cemetery.[11]
Notes
I think the layout of the gravestones in Bryn Zion Cemetery in combination with census data, the list of children of Phineas (and Mary) Hull in the Hunterdon Orphan Court Minutes, and the sale of land by the children of Phineas Hull support the theory that the Mary Hull who died in 1841 and was buried next to Sarah Shipman was Mary Wolverton Hull, widow of Phineas Hull, and is the Mary Hull of this profile.
If Mary died on 19 Feb 1841 and if she was age 69 years, 9 months, 8 days, then she was born on 11 May 1771.
