"Benton LaMont Shipman

Benton LaMont Shipman, 68 died at his home in Muncy R D 1 at 7:15 Sunday, April 6, 1947 after an extended period of illness. He was a lifelong resident of this section, and also a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, the former Susan Glaze and the following children: Charles Shipman, Mrs. Verne Riitter, Mrs. Donald Reece, Clinton Shipman, Mrs. Dayton Lyons, Mrs. Max Womelsdorf, Mr. Amos Shipman, Mrs. Albert Snyder, Mrs. William Dilldine, Jr., Mrs. Egbert Hall, Jr., all of Muncy, Mrs. Robert Wetherill, Hughesville, eleven grand children, one brother, Walter Shipman, Williamsport; one sister, Mrs. Mary Taylor, Williamsport.

Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Adam P. Bingsman, pastor of the Clarkstown Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Muncy Cemetery.

Friends may call at the residence from 7 to 9 o'clock Tuesday."
