According to a 1934 obituary from Bucklin, Kansas, Thomas Wayne Ferguson was born in southern Missouri on Sept. 29, 1858, and died at his home in Bucklin, Ks., on June 26, 1934, at the age of 75. He spent the early years of his life in Missouri, and in 1884? was married to Miss Belle Zora DeWitte. The marriage produced six children: Troy "Roy" D. Ferguson, Guy W. Ferguson, Mary "Velma" Ferguson, Mamie R. Ferguson, Bonnie M. Ferguson and Thomas A. Ferguson.
The family lived in southern Missouri, Oklahoma Terrority, believe Mamie and her sister Bonnie, were born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Thomas A. Ferguson was born in Opolis, Ks., on Dec. 5, 1897. Belle Z. Ferguson died in July 1902, on the McBride Ranch, south of Mullinville, Ks. Both Belle Zora Ferguson and Thomas W. Ferguson are buried in Bucklin, Ks.
The family also lived in Baldwin City, Kansas, from approx. 1909 to 1920. Thomas W. Ferguson was a farmer and rancher and the family likely rented property located southwest of Baldwin. In 1904, Thomas W. Ferguson married Amanda Ham of Nickel, Kansas. Amanda died in 1920, and is believed to be buried in Prairie City Cemetery, in Baldwin, Ks., however her date of death is not listed on the family tomb stone.
Son's, Troy D. Ferguson and Guy W. Ferguson were both working at "Ford Motor Company 77", located at 1005-1007 Massachusetts St., in Lawrence, Ks., from about 1912 to 1918? Mamie Ferguson was married to a Charles Barton, (who died in a fire in Pretty Prairie, Ks., in 1917). Bonnie M. Ferguson married John A. "Pat" Barton, (brother to Charles Barton), in Baldwin City, in 1918. Thomas A. Ferguson died in Belfast, Ireland, in Nov. 1918, of influenza while serving in the US Navy during WW I. He served on the destroyer, USS Duncan.
After 1920-1922, Thomas Ferguson married Mrs. Emma Spence of Bucklin, Ks., and they either moved to or remained in Bucklin, Ks. until his death in 1934. Provided by Dave Davis, June 15, 2013. Special "Thanks" to Cindy Koegel for pictures of grave sites and helping to post this message.

Information from a 1934 obituary of Thomas Wayne Ferguson states that Belle Zora (DeWitte) Ferguson was the first wife of Thomas W. Ferguson. Believe she was born in Indiana. The marriage produced six children: Troy D. Ferguson, Guy W. Ferguson, Mary "Velma" Ferguson, Mamie R. Ferguson, Bonnie M. Ferguson and Thomas A. Ferguson - who enlisted in the Navy during WW I, and served on the Destroyer USS Duncan, in the Atlantic. Thomas A. Ferguson died of influenza on Nov. 25, 1918, in Belfast, Ireland, and his body was shipped back to Baldwin City, Kansas, for burial in January of 1919.
Belle Ferguson died in 1902 on the McBride Ranch, located south of Mullinville, Kansas. Thomas W. Ferguson and Belle Zora Ferguson are both buried at Bucklin, Kansas.
