"Norman (Red) Grant
PARTRIDGE - Norman (Red) Grant, 78, Partridge, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Hutchinson, Sunday morning after a long illness. Born Feb. 22, in Nova Scotia, he married Mamie Ferguson Nov. 1, 1944, at Pittsburg. he was a blacksmith at Partridge and had lived there for about 20 years. He was a World War I veteran.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include the widow; step-sons, William Davis, Goddard; Orin Barton, Kansas City; step-daughters, Mrs. Zora Koestel and Mrs. Mildred Cain, Partridge; Mrs. Velma Peoples, 2808 North Main, Hutchinson; Mrs. Louise Martin, Cornwall, England; Mrs. Mamie Wygal, 829 East 6th, Hutchinson; brothers, Jack, Huntley and Lesley, Nova Scotia; sisters, Mrs. Catherine Link, Oxford, Mass.; Mrs. Elizabeth Pushie, Nova Scotia; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson; Rev. E. K. Bauman. Burial will be in the Partridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Ellliott Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday."

"Mrs. Norman Grant

Mrs. Mamie Grant, 84, 1002 Keast, died Thursday at her home. Born April 22, 1894 at Stillwater, Okla., she was married to Norman Grant Nov. 1, 1944 at Pittsburg. He died Feb. 22, 1970. She lived here since 1974.

She was a member of the Methodist Church; Rebekah Lodge, Partridge.

Survivors include sons: William Davis, Goddard; Orin Barton, Omaha, Neb.; daughters: Mrs. Zora Koestel, 15 Truman Drive; Mrs. Mildred Cain, Pretty Prairie; Mrs. Velma Peoples, 1801 Lyman; Mrs. Mamie Taylor, 421 Justice; Mrs. Louise Martin, Stillwater, Okla.; brother: Guy Ferguson, Kansas City, Kan.; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary; Rev. Paul Matthaei. Burial will be in Partridge Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at the mortuary."
