Ardmore, OK — Services for Vadys Roberta Anthony will be at 2 p.m. today at CrystalRock Cathedral, with the Dr. Walt Spradling officiating. Interment will be at Lone Grove Cemetery.

Vadys was born July 23, 1915, at Ardmore, to James and Lila Bell Moose Carroll. She passed from this life on April 7, 2010, in Ardmore, at the age of 94.

She and Bill Anthony were married July 21, 1936, in Ardmore. He has preceded her in death. She has been a lifelong resident of this area.

Vadys has always been a homemaker. Her passion was playing the piano and singing gospel music. She loved playing bingo, and her family very much and always looked forward to going on picnics and having all her family together.

She is survived by her three daughters, Billye Myers and husband, Leon, Charlotte Turman and late husband, O.C., and Judy Anthony; three sons, James Anthony and wife, Patsie, Jody Anthony and wife, Shellie, and Milton Anthony, all of Ardmore; 20 grandchildren, Bill, Mark and David Rozzell, Denise Prince, Karen Robinson, Jimmy, Ray and Carla Anthony, Kathy Jones, Oscar Turman, Crystal Pelton, Logun, Chad and Chris Anthony, Joy Thomas, Kim Little, Sherri Williams, Starla Thomason, and Heather and Ashley Anthony; 34 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; son, Jerry Dale Anthony; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Bill Rozzell, Mark Rozzell, David Rozzell, Jim Anthony, Ray Anthony, Oscar Turman, and Chad Anthony
