Funeral services for James Herman Anthony, 72, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at 10 a.m., at the Crystal Rock Cathedral with Dr. Walt Spradling officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore, Oklahoma.James was born Sept. 12, 1940, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to the late Bill and Vadys (Carrol) Anthony.

He passed from this life on Feb. 9, 2013, at his Ardmore residence.James was employed with the City of Ardmore at the Water Treatment Plant. He retired from there after 30 plus years as the plant. James loved to play golf. He loved the OU Sooners and the Oklahoma City Thunder team. He lived life to the fullest. James fought his extended illness hard to the end. He loved his family and friends very much. His brother in law Harold Lee checked on him daily and they would laugh about old times. His good friend, Walter Airington called him everyday as well, he made James laugh when he wanted to cry. He was a blessing to James. Thank you Walter.

His parents, his wife and mother of his four children, Mary, daughter Kathy Anthony Jones, granddaughter Lacie Anthony, and brother Jerry Anthony, preceded James in death.

He is survived by his wife Patsie of the home; two sons, Jimmy Anthony and wife Brigett, Ray Anthony and wife Lisa; daughter, Carla Anthony; two step sons, Tony Wilkins and wife Allyson, and Dale Wilkins and wife Donne, all of Ardmore, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; two brothers, Jody Anthony and Milton Anthony; three sisters, Billie Jean Meyers, Charlotte Turman and Judy Anthony, all of Ardmore, Oklahoma.Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Anthony, James "Squid" Anthony, Dale Mason, Kent Schrader, Albert Lynn Stewart, Jr. and Oscar Turman.Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Wilkins, Josh Wilkins, Trae Wilkins, Jerrad Wilkins, Rachel Wilkins, Tony Wilkins, Dale Wilkins, Felix Copeland, Chris Parish, Billy Pemberton, Walter Airington, Harold Lee and Alisha Anthony Mason
