JACKSON -- Mrs. Clyde Barrett Wolverton, 89, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in Jackson.
Mrs. Wolverton was born Oct. 28, 1908, in Leake County and was a homemaker. She had been a resident of Jackson County for 55 years and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Wolverton; her parents, George and Ella Barrett; a grandson, Roy Allen Evans; four brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Howard Wolverton and George Wolverton, both of Pascagoula, and Walter S. Wolverton of Lakeland, Fla.; two daughters, Joan Evans of Madison and Martha Applewhite of Brandon; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. A service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel with burial in Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa. Obituaries are accepted only from funeral homes. Those under the symbol are published free as a public service and as such are subject to certain limitations.
