Zenita Wolverton, 76, of Moss Point, Miss., passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008, after a lengthy illness, at her home in Moss Point. She was born in Neshoba County, Miss., on June 17, 1931. She graduated from Dixon High School in Neshoba County. Mrs. Wolverton was a Court Clerk and Office Manager for Judge Baker, and retired as an Office Manager for Trinity Marine. For many years, she proudly played the piano and organ for Riverside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wolverton is reunited with her loving husband, Howard Dudley Wolverton; her parents, Charlie and Alma Gunter; her brothers, Durwurd Gunter, Deotis Gunter, Gather Gunter, Collette Gunter and Everett Gunter; and her sisters, Coela Garrison, Beatrice Perry, Kindoyce Callahan and June Comans.

Mrs. Wolverton leaves loving memories to her devoted son, Ronnie Wolverton; her sisters-in-law, Lois Gunter and Nelda Gunter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the funeral service starting at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home of Escatawpa, Miss.

Burial will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens of Escatawpa.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home of Escatawpa. Locally owned and operated.
