"FRANCIS T. ABEL

Francis T. Abel, 63, of 520 Kenilworth ave., Cherry Hill, died Wednesday in his home. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Cherry Hill 38 years. He was employed in the planning and estimating department of the Philadelphia Navy Yard, before retiring.

Mr. Abel was a member of the Church Road Civic Association and Fire Company, the Holy Name Society of St. Peter's Church, Merchantville, and the Haddonfield Chapter 718 of the National Association of Retired Civil Employees.

Surviving are his wife, Mabel E.; four daughters, Mrs. Joyce Mason of Rnacocas Woods, Mrs. Dorothy Fries of Riverton, Mrs. Naomi Southwick of Pennsauken, and Mrs. Frances Volk of Cherry Hill; one brother, Charles of Camden; one sister, Mrs. Charlotte Price of Mount Holly; 18 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Friends will meet Monday at 8:30 a.m. in the Holl Funeral Home, 15 West End ave., Haddonfield. Requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Maple ave., Merchantville, There will be a viewing in the funeral home Sunday night.
