"It has been reported that she [Sarah Woolverton, Pasmeby's mother] bore a child as the result of being raped or seduced in Jan 1782. Her father's indicates she remained unmarried.
The child Pasmeby was born probably 25 October 1782. She would be one of the 12 in the household in 1784 and was described in Charles Woolverton's 1806 will as his granddaughter and the wife of Ananias Saxton. Her unusual name, the unusual theatment given to Sarah in her father's will and the fact that Pasmebey was the only grandchild mentioned in Charle's will suggests that she was Sarah' illegitimate child by John Taylor."
