James "Budd" Vanaman, 66, died Wednesday at his home.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Charles Marshall and George Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
Mr. Vanaman was a U.S. Army veteran and had retired from McDonnell Douglas.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Page Vanaman; one son, James Kenneth Vanaman of Merritt Island, FL; three step-daughters, Joni Whitworth of Athens, Jeni Moreno of Harvest and Judy Ezell of Ardmore, TN; three brothers, Wes Vanaman of Salt Lake City, Utah, Adrian Vanaman of Port Elizabeth, N.J., and Joe Vanaman of Seaford, Del.; and eight grandchildren.

The funeral for Betty Ann Page Vanaman, 76, of Huntsville, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with John Grantham, Charles Washburn and Don Cox officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

She died Friday, August 26, 2011, at home.

Betty Ann Page Vanaman was born May 28, 1935, in Limestone County. She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ in Toney and the Huntsville Park Church of Christ.

She was a homemaker, a 1953 graduate of Clements High School, and the best mother you could ever hope for.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie Page; husband, James Vanaman; sons, Richard W. Chambers Jr. and John Ellis Chambers.

Survivors include daughters, Joni Chambers Whitworth of Huntsville, Jeni Chambers Burnham Moreno of Madison, and Judi Chambers Ezell and husband Jim of Florence; grandchildren, Alyce McMeans Boykin, Heath McMeans, John Whitworth, Lori Ann Burnham, Matthew Burnham, Charlie Cargile and Ben Ezell; great-grandchildren, Bentley Whitworth, Ava Whitworth and Dylan Burnham; sister, Marjorie Page Holland Williams of Huntsville; niece, Debbie Hamilton; and nephews, Danny Holland and David Holland.

Pallbearers will be Heath McMeans, John Whitworth, Charlie Cargile, Matthew Burnham, Ben Ezell, Jim Ezell, Danny Holland and Joel Boykin.
