Guthrie's father was Thomas McKinney b. abt. 1827 in IN. and his mother Martha J. Johnson McKinney b. abt. 1835 in IN. She passed away Aug. 13, 1876 in Sullivan Co., IN. Guthrie had one older brother James Lowrie b. May 14, 1858 Sullivan Co., IN and two sisters Effie B. b. Apr. 23 1870 in Sullivan Co., IN. and d. Nov. 20, 1893 in Maitland, Holt Co., MO. and Arnetta Josephine b. June 2, 1862 in Turman, IN. and d. Aug. 16, 1864 in Turman. She was buried in Johnson Hopewell Cemetery.

Guthrie's parents married Apr. 25, 1855 in Sullivan Co., IN. It seems that Guthrie lived to marry and have children and perhaps is brother James. James is FAG #26703695. His father married a second time to a woman using the initials A.P. in the 1880 census. She was 35 in that year.

Dora had 11 siblings of which most have been found on FAG. The ones found on FAG and linked back to their parents are Ray, Ralph, Earnest, Nettie, Lucy, Walter Custes or Crustes, Gertrude, and Anna. The missing siblings are James Thomas b. Mar. 4, 1871, married Dana Shilling or Schilling in 1898, she was b. Sept. 1876 IN. No info has been found beyond 1900 when they were living in St. Louis.

The second missing sibling was Susan Mary b. Aug. 21, 1877 in MO. She was found teaching school in 1900 and may have passed away in Aug. 1923. At this time it is unknown if she married or not.

The third missing sibling was Carried b. Nov. 28, 1889 in MO. She seems to have been found in 1925 living in Omaha, NE and listed as a hair dresser. At this time no further information has been found.

The Wolverton line has been traced back several generations and can be traced on FAG. The spelling was originally Woolverton.
