Homer Clayton Marcey was the oldest child of John Marcey (1867-1927) and Viola (Minier) Marcey Elkin. He was born in Shrewsbury Township, Sullivan County. On 28 May 1921, he married Ellen May Yocum, daughter of John M. Yocum and Elizabeth Tolbert Yocum. A retired employee of E. Keeler Company, he was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose of Lycoming County. His parents and several of his siblings were buried in Eagles Mere Cemetery, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania.
