Alfreda M. Krause, 75, of 226 East High Street, Apt. C., Manheim, PA, formerly of Lancaster, died Tuesday afternoon, October 4, 2005 at Pleasant View Retirement Community after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Helen M. Shoemaker Krause. She was a member of The Worship Center in Leola.

Prior to retirement, Alfreda was employed by Harrington Hoists, Inc. in Manheim where she was responsible for keeping the factory and offices clean. In addition to reading the Bible, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by three sons, Craig A., husband of Mary Ann Stoltzfus Tshudy of Lititz, Terry L., husband of Melinda Foreman Tshudy of Manheim and David W. Tshudy of Rothsville; a daughter, Patty A. Tshudy of Rothsville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and three brothers, John J., husband of Eleanor Krause of Mountville, Robert, husband of Genevieve Krause of Millersville, and Jerry A., husband of Anne Krause of Cape May, NJ. She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Gregor.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Hoffer Auditorium, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, PA on Monday, October 10, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ken Keim officiating. Private interment will be in Millersville Cemetery. Friends may call at Hoffer Auditorium on Monday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
