Glenor I. Kerstetter, 81, Selinsgrove


SELINSGROVE -- Glenor I. Kerstetter, 81, of 8 Lenker Ave., went to be with her Lord on Thursday evening, June 19, 2008, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.

She was born March 15, 1927, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Perry and Erma (Benfer) Raker. In 1949, she married Donald E. Kerstetter, who survives.

Mrs. Kerstetter graduated in 1945 from Selinsgrove High School.

She was employed as a seamstress at the H.C. Beaver Company and Country Maid Company, both of Shamokin Dam.

Mrs. Kerstetter was a member of the Shamokin Dam United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the King's Daughters Sunday school class and was active in the church doughnut day during Lent.

She enjoyed gardening and crocheting, and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Diane L. Gordon and her husband Randy, of Sunbury, and Sandra L. Tweed and her husband Gregory, of Sunbury; one son, Brian E. Kerstetter and his wife Lottie, of Sunbury; nine grandchildren, Michael Gordon, Peter Gordon, Jennifer Schreffler, Jeffrey Tweed, Angela Willow, Heidi Eyster, Cassie Koble, Chasity Kerstetter and Shawn Kerstetter; and 14 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Tiffany, Jacob, Jayden, Mikalah, Dylan, Austin, Nina, Leah, Erica, Paetyn, Eli, Gwendolynn and Jadyn.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Clair Shaffer.

Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
