"James Lawrence Honey

James Lawrence Honey, 55, of Tamms, died today, April 6, 1981, at his home following a long illness.

Mr. Honey was a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church. He sered in the Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 178 in Villa Ridge.

He was born April 20, 1925, in Charleston, to Charles F. and Zula G. Anderson Honey. He married Loretta Dean Morris Jan. 1, 1947.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, J. L. of Springfield and Keith of Elco; one daughter, Laura Huffman of Kevil, Ky.; two granddaughters, Tara Huffman and Heather Honey; his mother of Anna; a brother, Leslie of Cairo; and an uncle, Gerald Honey of Tamms.

He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip, in 1952 and a sister, Lois Beasley, on April 7, 1978.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with burial in McCrite Cemetery near Tamms.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home."

"Obituary for Dean Honey Robison
Dean Honey Robison died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 5:20pm.

Dean was born on September 20, 1929 in Edgar Co. Illinois to Guy and Thelma (Bozarth) Morris. She married James Lawrence Honey January 1, 1947 and to that union were born 4 children. Philip Leon, James Leslie, Laura Lee, and Keith Alan. Jim died in 1981 and in 1983 she married George Robison. He died in 1999. Dean and her family lived in and around Tamms for many years and she worked at various jobs in Tamms, lastly as a greeter for Crain Funeral Home in Tamms and Dongola. She enjoyed life, her family and meeting and mingling with people. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ullin. She was preceded in death by her husbands and 2 sons, Philip and Keith and brother, Tony Morris.

Dean is survived by her children, J.L. Honey (Mike) of St. Louis, Laura (David) Stringer of Ullin; 6 grandchildren, Tara Huffman, Kirsten Stringer, Seth Stringer (Kelsey), Leslie Thurston (Blake), Ethan Stringer (fiancι Alexandra), Heather Essary; 8 great grandchildren, Malachi, Carson, Presley, Harper, Avery, Nora Dean, Jordan, Drew; nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Interment will follow in McCrite Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or the First Baptist Church of Ullin and will be accepted at the funeral home."
