Margaret M. Krouse, 82, a resident of the Lewisburg U United Methodist Home, Lewisburg, and formerly of Clearfield, died Sunday, March 27, 1994, at the home. Mrs. Krouse was the widow of the late Rev. Ralph S. Krouse. Born March 9, 1912, in Valley Township, Montour County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Warren and Edith May (Rogers) Hendrickson. She graduated from Danville High School in 1930 and from the former Bloomsburg Normal School in 1932. She then taught school at the Valley Consolidated School, Mausdale; at the Second Ward School, Danville; the Bellwood Antis schools; and the Clearfield area schools, having retired in 1970. During their marriage, Mrs. Krouse with Rev. Krouse was in parishes in Patton, Williamsport, Bellwood and Shawyille, and they had been residents of Clearfield for 33 years. They had served at the Emmanuel Unted Methodist Church, Clearfield, from 1958-70. They moved to the Lewisburg Unted Methodist Home in 1991. Mrs. Krouse was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Clearfield; the Clearfield Chapter 379 of the Order of the Eastern Star; and the keystone Travel Trailer Club and the Pa. Association of School Retirees. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. W. David (Edie) Bennett of Richmond, Va.; and two grandchildren, D. Scott Bennett of Blacksburg, Va., and Diane Bennett Bramos of Newport News, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Ralph S. Krouse, whom she married on June 24, 1944, in Danville, and who died on July 25, 1991. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Clearfield, with the Rev. Rodger J. Gorton, pastor of the church, and the Rev. George M. Weavver, representing the State College District of the United Methodist Church.

Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park. Friends will be received at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests that contributions be made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1010 Dorey St., Clearfield, Pa. 16830."
