Hazel was the fourth of seven children born to Percy Powell and Blanceh Agatha (Moon) Norris. She married Hardy Roscoe Gudger Sr. in 1956.

SPENCER - Mrs. Hazel Ruth Norris Gudger, 66, retired convenience store cashier, died May 31, 1993, at Rowan Memorial Hospital. Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Brookhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Summersett Funeral Home.
Survivors are her brother, Dewey Norris of Winter Park, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Myrtie Poplin of Charlotte, Mrs. Mae Watson, Mrs. Grace Beck, both of Salisbury.
