RICHARD L. JEFFERS, 75, died Sunday at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana. Born in Terre Haute, he retired from B&L Motor Freight in 1984. He also worked for Advance Painters. He was a World War II Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Betty J.; a daughter, Teresa R. Jeffers of Fort Wayne; a son, Tony L. of Muncie; three brothers, Harland of Pinellas Park, Fla., Robert of Albany, and Wayman of Dawsonville, Ga.; and three grandchildren. Services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour before services. Calling from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Parson-Rust Funeral Home, Albany. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Congestive Heart Failure Clinic, Fort Wayne.
