Ralph Reinhart Jr., 86, of Peninsula went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on October 10, 2016.

Born in Canton, Ohio, Ralph lived most of his life on Stine Road in Peninsula. Majoring in mechanical engineering, he attended Case Western Reserve and the University of Cincinnati. He worked almost all of his adult life for the

Ralph Reinhart Company, founded by his father. A Son of the American Revolution, Ralph was a member of the United States Naval Reserve for 12 years, a Boy Scout Troop Leader and a member of the Woodridge Board of Education for 12 years. He was often a Trustee of the Peninsula United Methodist Church where he was a member for over 50 years. He traveled widely to pursue his hobbies of rock collecting and photography. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Jewell Reinhart; his daughter, Teri Ann Pipes, and his former wife, Charlotte; he is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-three years, Betty; children, Jodi Padrutt (Terry), Lori Mercer (David), David Reinhart (Tammi); step-children, Mary Booth (David), Kelly Peters (Mark) and John Johnston (Heather); sister, Dr. Jewell Coburn of Santa Barbara; sister-in-law,
Judy Rodatt; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie Lloyd and Lorin Broughton of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren, Matt Padrutt, Sara Padrutt Candle (Matt), Ladd, Emily and Hanna Mercer, Adrianna, Kaley and Dawson Reinhart, David Booth, Jett, Thalia and Rory Johnston; and great-grandson, Greyson Candle; nephews, William and James Coburn, and Adam Rodatt, and nieces, Valerie and Ashley Coburn, Claudia, Jonni and Marti. He will also be fondly remembered by best friends, Tom and Pat Shaw, Larry and Carolyn Lent, Larry and Nancy Richner of Boulder City, Nevada, and Don and Betty Huntington of Groveland, Florida.

Contributions are suggested to the Memorial Fund of Peninsula United Methodist Church, 1575 Main St. Peninsula, OH 44264 where funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
