Paul Dieffenbacker [sic], 79, of Honolulu, Hawaii, former Clarion resident, died Friday, September 10, in Honolulu, where he had resided for several years. Born September 28, 1891 in Clarion County, he was the son of the late Orion F. and Nancy Klugh Dieffenbacker. He was married September 28, 1932 to the former Marie Reinsel, who died in 1966. Mr. Dieffenbacker and his wife were the proprietors of the former Dieffenbacker’s Newsstand on Main Street in Clarion for a number of years. He retired in 1953. He was a member of Coudersport Consistory. Friends are being received at the Gerald L. Goble Funeral Home in Clarion, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Father Joseph Meisinger of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion officiating. Burial will be in the Clarion Cemetery.

"Ex-Clarion Man Dies in Honolulu
CLARION - Paul Dieffenbacker, [sic] 79, of Honolulu, Hawaii, former resident of South Street, Clarion, and proprietor, with his wife, of the Dieffenbacker New Stand in Clarion, died Friday in Honolulu. He had made his home there for several years.
He was born September 28, 1891 in Clarion County, the son of Orion F. and Nancy Dieffenbacker.
On September 28, 1932, he was married to Marie Reinsel who preceded him in death in 1968.
Mr Dieffenbacker who retired from his news stand business in 1953, was a member of Coudersport Consistory.
Friends may call Friday morning at the Gerald L. Goble Funeral Home in Clarion where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by Rev. Joseph Meisinger, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church.
Interment will be in Clarion Cemetery."

Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 21, in the Immaculate Conception Church for Mrs. Marie R. Dieffenbacher, 527 South Street, Clarion, who died Sunday, April 17, 1966, in the Brookville Hospital at the age of 69. She was born September 28, 1896 in Crates, the daughter of John and Julia Conner Reinsel. On September 28, 1932, she was married to Paul Dieffenbacher, who survives. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Dieffenbacher was employed for a number of years in Campbell’s Drug Store, operated by the late J. C. Campbell, in the building now occupied by the G. C. Murphy Co. After her marriage, she and her husband operated Dieffenbacher’s News Stand, which Mr. Dieffenbacher’s father founded in 1880. They retired from the business in 1953. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Annetta Steiner, Lucinda and one brother, Charles of Webster City, Iowa. Father Joseph Meisinger will be celebrant of the mass and interment will follow in the Crates Cemetery. Friends are being received in the Goble Funeral Home, Clarion, where the Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.
