George W. Wood, 212 S. Ninth St., husband of Irene A. Donmoyer Acker Wood, died yesterday at his residence. He was 75. Born in Albia, Iowa, he was a son of the late William G. and Alice Jewel Wood. He was a retired civil servant and a veteran of World War I. A member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, he was a life member of the Howard Cessna Post 136 American Legion, Albia; the 40 et 8 Voiture Local 55, Lebanon, the Astor Lodge 505 F and AM, Albia, the Mitchell Chapter 14 RAM, St. Joseph, Mo. and the American Association of Retired Persons. In addition to his widow he is survived by two sons, Phillip G. Burlington, Iowa, Earl E. Acker, Lebanon; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a brother, John R., Knoxville, Iowa.
