Chalmer Watson Dies in Moline

Chalmer B. Watson, 65, father or Roy Watson of Morning Sun, died November 25 (1959) at Moline following a period of declining .health. Mr. Watson, an employee of International Harvester in East Moline, was on sick leave from his work at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Esterdahl funeral home in Moline.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Watson, Morning Sun, and Elmer Watson, St. Louis; and two daughters, Mrs. Helen Marshall, Cedar Falls, and Mrs. Leila Parrenoud, Fairfield.

Also surviving are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."

MORNING SUN — Mrs. Rosa Alice Douglas, 90, Morning Sun, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 8, in Burlington Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 29, 1888, in Van Buren county, the daughter of John E. and Mary Ella Johnson Wolverton. She married Charles B. Watson and following his death she married Thomas Douglas in 1934; he died March 16, 1959.

She was a member of the United Methodist church and the RNA.

Surviving: Two sons, Elmer and Roy Watson, both of Morning Sun; two daughters, Helen Marshall, Cedar Falls, and Leila Perrenoud, Fairfield; brother, Lem Wolverton, Kileen, Texas; two sisters, Jessie Royer, St. Charles, Mo., and Lulu Bryant, Morning Sun; five grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, United Methodist church, Rev. Fred Harris; Elmwood cemetery. The body is at Pierce funeral home.
