MAITLAND McDONALD

Maitland (Mac) McDonald, 61, R.R.1, St. Paul, died this morning at 4:20 a.m. in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. McDonald was born May 23, 1922, in the state of Maryland. He had resided for several years in St. Paul, and had been employed by L.S. Ayres Co. in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Welsh-Crawley-Kramer American Legion Post No. 129, having served in the Air Force in World War II. He was a member of the Greensburg Eagles and the Speedway Masonic Lodge. He belonged to the Star Baptist church.

He was married Sept. 27, 1975, in Greensburg to Mary Ann McDonald and she survives; with one son, William McDonald, Breckenridge, Colo.; five step-children: Rick Adams, Greensburg, Mrs. Bill (Toni) Stille, Greensburg, Mrs. Art (Penny) Niles, St. Paul, Sherry Hill, Indianapolis and Mrs. Ray (Cindy) Aldridge, Columbus; eight step-grandchildren, and one brother, Norvel McDonald, Maryland. He was preceded in death by one son.

The services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg George of the Star Baptist Church officiating, and with burial in the Star Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday.
