Obituary: Mr. Grimes was born in Edgewood Indiana on January 14, 1939. He is the son of the late Fred L. and Thelma L. (Jackson) Grimes. Mrs. Grimes survives.

He was married on January 14, 1961, in Lizton, Indiana, to Anna Louise Hicks. She survives.

He was reared and educated in Indianapolis, Indiana and later moved to Advance. He attended Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis and later served in the U.S. Army.

He worked various jobs in the vending industry. His employers included Coca Cola Corporation in Indianapolis and Wood Vending until he retired at the age of 36 due to cardiac problems.

Mr. Grimes was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed playing video games and participating in challenging discussions on politics and the Bible.

Funeral Services are to be held on Friday, August 13, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2004.

Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.

Heaven received a new angel on June 8, 2014, Anna Louise Grimes passed away at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was born in Casey County, Kentucky, on October 19, 1936, a daughter of the late Hurshel and Dorothy Mae (Leigh) Hicks.

She was first married to Roy Calvin Poe in 1953, they divorced. On January 14, 1961, she was married to William Darrell Grimes in Lizton, Indiana. Mr. Grimes passed away on August 10, 2004.

Anna was raised and educated in Liberty and Campbellsville, Kentucky. At the age of 14, she and her family moved to Hendricks County where she attended Lizton High School.

Anna worked at Stewart Warner during the Vietnam War. For a total of twenty years, she worked as a CNA and a QMA at Oak Park Manor and English Nursing Home, retiring in 1981.

Mrs. Grimes was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed her grandchildren and her pets. In her free time she like to crochet.

Funeral Services are to be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the funeral home in Lebanon.

Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Boone County, Indiana.
