Funeral services were held Saturday for Walter H. Graves, 69 of Tuscumbia who died Thursday, April 1, 1976, at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City where he had been a patient since Tuesday, March 30. Mr. Graves was born July 16, 1906 near Ulman, the son of Alfred and Anna (Wolverton) Graves. He was married on Nov. 12, 1924 to Oma Arnina Stokes, who preceded him in death on May 2, 1974.
Mr. Graves lived in Clinton in the early 30's, and moved to Brazito and later into Kansas City, Kan., where he lived from 1942 to 1945. In the spring of 1945 he moved back to Miller County where he farmed. He had worked on construction in Alaska and was a Tuscumbia mail carrier for six years.
He became a member of the Ulman Baptist Church as a small boy and later became a member of the Tuscumbia Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Harry Graves of Kansas City, Wilford and Tom Graves, both of Iberia, and Raymond and Bill Graves, both of Tuscumbia; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Patterson of Ulman; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Tuscumbia Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Hyatt officiating. Burial was in the Tuscumbia Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia. Pallbearers were Dan Graves, Harry J. Graves, Jr., Randy Graves, Mike Graves, John Graves and Monty Graves.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Oma A. Graves, 69, of Tuscumbia, who died suddenly Thursday, May 2, 1974, at her home.
Mrs. Graves was born Jan. 5, 1905, in Maries County, near Van Cleve, the daughter of Wilford and Ellen (Helton) Stokes. She was married on Nov. 2, 1924 in Eldon, by the Rev. Mr. Magruder, to Walter H. Graves, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Graves had lived in the Miller County area near Ulman and Tuscumbia since 1908, and moved into Tuscumbia in 1964. She had been employed in the Lake area as a cook and housekeeper and had also worked for the Pryor Novelty Shop in Tuscumbia.
She was baptized as a girl by the Rev. Mr. Bandy and was a member of the Ulman Baptist Church until she moved her membership to the Tuscumbia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Paul David Graves, in June of 1947.
Surviving, other than her husband Walter, are five sons, Harry Graves of Kansas City, Wilford and Tom Graves, both of Iberia, Raymond Graves of Tuscumbia, and Bill Graves of Columbia; one brother, Ilde (Tom) Stokes of Clint; one sister, Mrs. Lethea Edwards of Tuscumbia; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Tuscumbia Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Hyatt officiating. Burial was in the Tuscumbia Cemetery under the direction of Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, Mo. Pallbearers were Dan Graves, Randy Graves, John Graves, Mike Graves, Monty Graves and Roger Shelton.
