B. C. Wolverton Dies in Hospital

SHERRILL - Burt C. Wolverton, 70, 122 Stone St., a retired employee of Oneida Ltd., and resident for 50 years, died Saturday in City Hospital a few hours after being admitted.

He was born in Bath, Nov. 12, 1877, the son of Judson and Ellen Wolverton and married Miss Anna Britzke in Elmira in 1905.

Mr. Wolverton attended school in Osceola, Pa., and business college at Elmira. He was a member of Park Methodist Church here, and had been a member of the Woodmen of the World.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Anna Wolverton; 11 children, Mrs. Gaylor Fisher, Oneida; Vernon Wolverton, Kenneth Wolverton, Oneida; Mrs. Leland Mather, Cazenovia; Mrs. Adrian Loomis, Chittenango Falls; Mrs. Chester Wolicki, Rome; Mrs. Richard Sorenson, Oneida, RD 3; and Miss Bertha, Miss Eleanor, and Miss Marion Wolverton, and Charles Wolverton, at home; 27 grandchildren, a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, Elkland, Pa., and Mrs. Minnie Newland, Port Allegany, Pennsylvania."

Mrs. Anna O. Wolverton

SHERRILL - Mrs. Anna O. Wolverton, 63, widow of Bert C. Wolverton, 122 Stone St., died yesterday in Oneida City Hospital, where she was admitted a week ago as a medical patient.

Born in Lindley, Jan. 13, 1889, daughter of John and Bertha Hoett Britzke, she had resided in this city 40 years. Her husband died in 1948.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Bertha Minehart of this city; three sons, Vernon and Kenneth, both of Oneida; Charles of this city; eight daughters, Mrs. Eva Fisher, Mrs. Bertha Griffin, Mrs. Pauline Sorrenson, and Mrs. Mario[n] Philo, all of Oneida; Mrs. Kathryn Loomis of Chittenango Falls; Mrs. Alice Wolicki, Chittenango; Mrs. Vivian Mather of Fenner, and Mrs. Eleanor Keene of this city; a brother, Edward A. Kritzke [sic] of Sherrill, 30 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren."
