James C. Culberson died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at his residence in Delaware Township. He was 87.
He was a son of James and Edith Terry Culberson.
He was a milk hauler with J.C. Culberson and Sons, with whom he also engaged in custom farming. He was a retired truck driver for Bass Transportation, Flemington, and a former bus driver for the Delaware Township Schools.
He was a charter member of the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company and its oldest member, serving for over 60 years, and was a member of the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church.
His wife, Doris Lambert Culberson, died in 2000.
Surviving are a son in Flemington; a daughter in Delaware Township; a brother, Robert Culberson of Flemington; a sister, Ethel Emmons of Delaware Township; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat on July 28, 2011.

Doris M. Culberson died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Hunterdon Medical Center. She was 80.
Born in Ringoes, daughter of Frank and Marion Brewer Lambert, she resided in Sergeantsville most of her life.
She attended elementary school in Sergeantsville and graduated from Flemington High School in 1938.
At a young age, she contracted polio.
Mrs. Culberson was a bookkeeper and was formerly employed by N.J. State Department in Trenton; H.C. Richards in Trenton; Flemington Egg Auction; Lambertville Hosiery Mill and lastly as a cashier/bookkeeper at Locktown Sweater Shop.
She was a member of First Brethren Church of Sergeantsville for 65 years. She served as deacon, Sunday school superintendent and Sunday school teacher. She was church treasurer for many years and was the oldest member of the church choir.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Sergeantsville Fire Co. and a past president of Delaware Township PTA.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, James Culberson; a son in Flemington; a daughter in Stockton; two sisters, Alice Everitt of Ringoes and Eve Emmons of Sergeantsville; two brothers, Thomas Lambert of Stockton and Orville Lambert of Flemington; and five grandchildren.
Her obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat on June 8, 2000.
