Elvie Hayden Creek, 68, son of James J. and Ada (Kirkman) Creek, was born Oct. I5, 1908 at Ashley Creek, Mo. and died May 24, 1977 at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Mo. He was united in marriage to Aleda Foulk in 1936 and to this union two sons were born.
Survivors are his wife, Aleda of the home; one son, Russell; three grandsons, Dale, Wayne and Carl Dean, all of Raymondville and one sister, Mrs. Geneva Watson of Licking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Noel, two brothers, Harold and Utah and one sister, Elsie Clayton.
Mr. Creek farmed near Raymondville most of his life.
Services were held Thursday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. in Boone Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Bobe officiating. Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Fox-Smith-Ferguson Funeral Home of Licking.

Aleda Creek, 99, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010.

She was born March 16, 1911, daughter of David and Alice Foulk.

She graduated from Summersville High School in 1929 and began a career as a school teacher. She retired in 1974 from Summersville Schools.

She loved spending time with her family and teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and quilting.

She was saved at an early age.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elvie; two children, Noel and Russell Creek; and 10 siblings, Effie Burt, Hattie Robinson, Orba Casper, Beulah Stevenson, Percy Foulk, Bernice Reed, Goldia McCallister, Anges Hobbs, Omega Bailey and Harry Foulk.

Survivors include a sister, Ruth Wuertley of Summersville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Services were Friday, Nov. 5, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Miller officiating.
