Robert B. Kester, 80, of Westfield, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at IU Hospital North in Carmel. He was born on Aug. 25, 1936, in Terre Haute, to Ray and Ella Mae (Gilbert) Kester.
He was married to the love of his life, Judith A. (Bell) Kester, who preceded him in death in 2011. Bob also was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bill Kester.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Keely Maurer, Kara Decker and husband David, and Breona Wendell; sons, Paul Scott and wife Suanne, Charles Scott and wife Erin, and Chad Chubb and wife Lisa; a sister, Nila Johnson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and last, but not least, his beloved dog, Honey Bunny.
Bob served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a lifelong entrepreneur, owning several businesses including Big K Tires. He was an active member of Grace Memorial Church.
In his younger days, Bob played basketball and bowled on several leagues. He enjoyed hunting. Bob was a sports fanatic and an avid fan of Indiana University, Indianapolis Colts, and the New York Yankees.
Bob enjoyed going out to breakfast and visiting with friends, family, and strangers. He loved to tell stories about the many adventures he experienced during his lifetime. He was devoted to his faith in the Lord and made it his mission to be a witness for Him. Bob was an extremely generous and kind-hearted man, donating money to many charitable causes and helping others. Bob touched many lives and will be truly missed.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Pringle officiating. Bob will be laid to rest next to his wife in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Judy A. Kester, age 58, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011, in the Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Born Feb. 21, 1953, in Vigo County, she was the daughter of James Bell and Betty Maxine (Edwards) Crawford. She married Bob B. Kester and he survives. Judy had worked for over 10 years as a Utilities Operator for Eli Lilly.

She was a member of the Grace Memorial Church. Her hobbies included gardening, painting and taking vacations with her family.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three sons, Paul Christopher Scott and wife Suanne of Terre Haute, Charles Roy Scott and wife Erin of Elkhart, Ind., and Chadwick Jonathan Chubb and wife Lisa of Fishers, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Breona Kester of Terre Haute; 10 grandchildren, Dylan Scott, Caleb Scott, Gabriel Chubb, Olivia Chubb, and Samuel Chubb, Kirby Brinegar and Garrett Gaston, Brady, Corbin and Jacob Scott; three sisters, Francis Perrill and husband Dennis of Marshall, Ill., Connie Eup and husband Tom of Clinton, and Vickie Smith and husband Monte of Terre Haute; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; her special dog, Honey Bunny; and two special friends Janie Bemis of Terre Haute, and Linda Rogers of Terre Haute. Her mother preceded her.

Services entrusted to Roselawn Funeral Home.
