"Betty Courtney
LAMAR, Mo. - Mable E. "Betty" Courtney, 64, lamar, died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at St. john's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, after a long illness.

Mrs. Courtney was born July 2, 1930, at Liberal. She moved to Lamar from Kansas City in 1991. She worked at Modern Handcraft Inc. for 30 years.

She was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and the Mono-Railers Square Dance Club, both of Kansas City.

She married David F. Courtney on Aug. 16, 1946, at Girard, Kan. He is her only immediate survivor.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lohmeyer-Konantz Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Dickey will officiate. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery, northwest of Liberal.

The family will receive friends from 8 to 9:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home.
