George William Copenhaver, 84, of Woodstock, Virginia, widower of Betty Jean Copenhaver, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his home.

A memorial service will be held on Friday evening, July 19, 2013, 8:00 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock by Pastor Dave Casto. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will be private.

Mr. Copenhaver was born in Shenandoah County on June 25, 1929. He was the son of the late Wade and Stella Copenhaver.

He is survived by two sons, James William Copenhaver of Woodstock, and Fred L. Copenhaver of New York; three daughters, Loretta Kennedy of Strasburg, Kim Weinberg and Dorothy Copenhaver, both of Arlington; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
