Mary Ellen Sidler, 91, of Danville passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Bloomsburg Health Care Center.

She was born on July 31, 1925, in Danville, a daughter of the late James and Orpha (Gelnett) Cooke. She attended Danville High School and graduated in the Class of 1943. She married William Howard Sidler, who passed in 1990.

She was an occupational therapist at the Danville State Hospital and worked at the Pine Barn Inn for 53 years. She was an avid Penn State fan, but her passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Mary Ellen was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by three sons: Scott Sidler and wife, Darla, of Danville, Randall Sidler and wife, Sue, of Waller, Stephen Sidler and wife, Kathy, of Danville; and five grandchildren: Erin, Leah, Jamie, Colton and Kevin.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
