Age 81 - Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Sterling, Oklahoma with Rev. Cullen Lee Holman of Tyler, Texas officiating.
Daune went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17, 2010.
Burial will be at 2:00 pm Wedneday September 22, at the Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler, Texas under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Fletcher.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, September 20 from 6-8 pm.
Daune was born November 15, 1928 in Marlow, Oklahoma to William Temple Clay and Nona Agatha Harris Clay. He attended Oak Grove and Sterling Schools. He married Imogene Hobbs on July 23, 1945. Imogene preceded him in death in April 1982. He married Dematra James on April 22, 1986. Daune was employed by Tyler Pipe Industries for 34 years, retiring in February 1983. he moved back to Sterling, Oklahoma in November 1983. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Sterling where he served as treasurer for 24 years. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife of the home; 5 Sons and their wives: Bobby Maurice Clay and wife Sue of Dayton, Texas, Darrell Ross Clay of Magnolia, Texas, Elton Glenn Clay and wife Debbie of Tyler, Texas, James Arlen Clay and wife Barbie of Edom, Texas, Patrick Henry Clay and wife Susan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two stepdaughters: Sandra Storey and her husband Robby of Nocona, Texas, Sherry Wilson and husband Rick of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Grandchildren: Adam Blaine Clay of Houston, Texas, Melanie Shae Williams of Dayton, Texas, Kelly Michele Hastings of Melbourne, Australia; Amber Annette Clay of Magnolia, Texas; David Ross Clay of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Caire Renea Moore of Bullard, Texas, Calyn Glenn Clay of Leander, Texas, James Michael Clay of Edom, Texas, Christopher Todd Clay of Murchison, Texas, Jamie Coe Clay Maldonado of Tyler, Texas, 19 Great Grandchildren: Brother: Harold Dean Clay and wife Gwynna of Catoosa, Oklahoma; Sister: Doris Marie Blair and husband Bob of Sterling, Oklahoma.

NOCONA, Texas - Funeral for Dematra "Dee" Murlene Clay, 77, Nocona, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel, Nocona.
Mrs. Clay died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, in Nocona, Texas.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, Texas.
She was born July 28, 1937, outside Fletcher to Elmer and Dorotha Knight. She worked for 25 years at John Smith Ford, Bowie, as a bookkeeper, before moving to Sterling. She worked for many years at Bell Moving and Storage in Lawton. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making pies for her boys.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Storey and husband Rob, Nocona, Texas, and Sherry Wilson and husband Rick, Gainesville, Texas; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Barbara Scott and Mary Morse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Clay; a son, Stephen Douglas James; her parents; a sister; and two brothers.
Visitation will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
