Denvil Gordon Casto, 92, of Mt. Jackson, Virginia died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

Denvil was born March 27, 1920 in Roan County, West Virginia, the son of the late Oscar Casto, Sr. and Leota Fields Casto. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a carpenter and a member of Union Forge United Methodist Church. He was married to the late Eleanor Casto.

Denvil is survived by a daughter, Marsha Casto Garr and her husband, Charles, Madison County, VA, sons, Charlie Casto and his wife, Glenna, Edinburg and Michael Casto, Mt. Jackson, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 10 at 2:00pm at Union Forge United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Robert Jones officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Road, Edinburg, VA 22824.

Valley Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
