9 Dec 2006: Clarence B. Mitchell, Jr., 85, formerly of Middletown, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in Mercy Suburban Hospital, Norristown, PA. He was the son of the late Clarence B. Sr., and Marie A. Foreman Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a retired supervisory supply analyst for U.S. General Material & Petroleum Activity and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Penbrook, F&AM Lodge 629, Ancient Scottish Rite Lodge Council, Consistory Valley Chapter, and American Legion Post 945, all of Harrisburg, Charter member of World War II Memorial, was a graduate of Red Stone Township High School, Class of 1938 and attended Oklahoma A&M in 1943. He was the widower of Ethel Carter Mitchell, who preceded him in death in 1997. He is survived by his daughter Jaclyn Mitchell of Norristown; and grandson Steve Mitchell and wife, Alicia of Norristown. She was married twice. First husband was Arthur A. L. Kohr her second husband Clarence Mitchell. She is buried with Arthur.

Ethel C. Kohr Mitchell, 74, of 611 Spruce St., Middletown, died Tuesday in Harrisburg Hospital.

She had been a federal employee at the former New Cumberland Army Depot and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Penbrook, Middletown Rescue Fire Company Auxiliary and Chapter 102, National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence B. Mitchell, and three sisters, Irene Dupes, Ruth Carter and Roberta Baumbach, all of Middletown.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home.
