Barbara Joyce "Joy" Dacus, 74, of Amarillo, died Saturday, March 3, 2007.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Mrs. Dacus was born May 3, 1932, in Oklahoma City to Roland and Emma Cain Carroll. She married Paul Dacus in April, 1968.

Mrs. Dacus was an adventurous woman who doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and liked jigsaw puzzles. She lived in Childress for over 30 years and owned Joy's Potpourri there for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 1987; and a daughter, Elaine on Oct. 18, 2004.

Survivors include a son, Larry Wiley, of Oklahoma City; a sister, Nancy Thompson of Oklahoma City; a brother, James R. Carroll of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Wayne Franklin and wife Tammy of Amarillo, Shawndra Foutch and husband Larry of Noble, Okla. and Rachell Wiley of Oklahoma City; and six great-grandchildren, Justin Franklin, of Amarillo, Cheyenne and Savanna Wiley of Oklahoma City, and Dalton, Dillon and O'Neta Foutch of Noble.
