James C. Campbell, 84, of Muncy passed away Oct. 14, 2016, at Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Muncy.

Born March 28, 1932, in Danville, he was a son of the late Philip and Susan (Kuentzler) Campbell. He married the former Dorothy E. Wendt, and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

James was a graduate of Danville High School, Class of 1950. He was employed as a lineman for PPL for 40 years. James was a member of the Muncy Valley Moose, American Legion Post 601 Sonestown, the Chestnut Ridge Hunting Club, and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed working on cars and was a proud original owner of a restored ’66 Chevy.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons: James P. (Sandra) Campbell of Richmond, Va.; and Glen L. (Caroline) Campbell of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Elinor Brady, of Eldorado Hills, Calif.; three grandchildren: Aubrey Smith; Jared Campbell; and Tyler Campbell; two great-granddaughters: Tessa and Tenley Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a sister, Jane L. Campbell.

Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Jane L. O’Borski officiating.
