Betty J. Evans, 87, of Hummelstown passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 in the Middletown Home.

Born April 1, 1924 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Kathryn (Jacoby) Bybee.

She retired as a registered nurse from the Milton Hershey School and was the widow of Robert E. Evans.

Surviving are her son Robert E. Jr., husband of Sallie Evans of Middletown; siblings Anna Mae Moore of Harrisburg and Frank Bybee, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada.

A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Hummelstown Cemetery, South John Street, Hummelstown.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tails of Hope Sanctuary, 6335 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.
