PENNSAUKEN - Services will be held tonight and Monday for Earle L. "Bud" Groff Sr., 67, a church deacon who died Wednesday at home. Mr. Groff was a former employee of the Mayfair Foodtown in Moorestown and had also worked as a warehouse manager. A deacon at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Pennsauken, Mr. Groff was also treasurer of the South Jersey Chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International. During World War II he served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Surviving him are a son, Lenny of Pennsauken; two daughters, Barbara Holtz of Deptford and Debbie Harris of Pennsauken; a brother, Ralph of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Edith Eppinger of Mount Ephraim; a daughter-in law, Barbara Groff of Pennsauken; two sons-in-law, Paul Holtz of Deptford and Michael Harris of Pennsauken; and five grandchildren. Mr. Groffs son, Steven, predeceased him.
Services will be held at 8 tonight at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 2143 Browning Road, Pennsauken, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Services will also be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church and friends may call after 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Pennsauken. Memorial donations may be made to Mission Teens Inc., P.O. Box 131, Glendora, 08029.
