Rupert Earl Wolverton, 65, died unexpectedly at his home in Huntsville yesterday evening. He and Mrs Wolverton had just returned home from a visit with his son, Donald, in Fairfield, Iowa.
Wolverton was the son of Joe and Emma Wolverton. He had worked for the City of Huntsville and mined coal in the Thomas Hill area. He had lived in the Brush Creek community befofe moving to Huntsville 23 years ago.
Surviving are: The wife, Ellen, two sons, Don, Fairfield, IO, and Clarence, Moberly, three daughters, Mrs Helen Frances Chism, Moberly, Mrs Violet elliott, state of California, and Mrs Jerry Reagan, Rock Islan, Ill, three sisters, Mrs Lula Johnston, St Louis, Mrs Gladys Webster, New Cambria, and Mrs Evelyn Devore, Kansas City, a brother, Clarence, St Louis, and 18 grandchildren. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday at the Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville, with burial in the Huntsville Cemetery.
