Larry Dean Minor

Larry Dean Minor, 36, was killed in an automobile accident October 17, 1979, west of Moberly, Mo. His address was 1333 E. Logan, Moberly, Mo.

Born in Bradford, Penn., Jan. 27, 1943, the son of Roy Minor and Lula Maude Webster Minor he lived in the Moberly Huntsville area all of his life.

He was married to the former Anne Marie Burke on January 20, 1979. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Burke, Baring.

Survivors include his wife, parents and one son, Mark Todd Minor of the home.

At the time of his death he was sales manager for Columbia Supply Co., Columbia, Mo. Previous to this he was employed by Moberly Packing Co., Broad Bldg. Supply, Mid-Missouri Bldg. Supply and Best Bldg.

He served in the Army from 1967 to 1969. He was a member of the Huntsville First Baptist Church, Moose & Eagle Lodge of Moberly, V.F.W., American Legion Post of Salisbury, Mo. Served 7 years on the board of directors of Mid-Missouri Lumbermans Assn., and graduated from Westran High School in 1961.

Funeral services were held Oct. 20, in Huntsville, at the Patton Funeral Home and burial was in the Huntsville Cemetery.

Anne Marie Burke

Anne Marie was born on April 4, 1944, the daughter of Norman Wallace and Marjorie E. Hayes Burke. She was raised in Baring, Missouri, graduating from the Baring High School in the Class of 1962. Anne Marie graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri with a Degree in Journalism. She was employed for many years with the KIRX Radio in Kirksville, Missouri, KRES Radio in Moberly, Missouri and later the KMEM Radio in Memphis, Missouri as News Director. She had also worked with the LaBelle Star Newspaper in LaBelle, Missouri and the Stone Haven Care Center in Lewistown, Missouri. Anne Marie was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baring, Missouri, worked with the Heart Association in Phoenix, Arizona and Lewistown, Missouri. She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Burke of Edina, Missouri; a brother, Larry Burke and his fiance' Barb Salsberry of Kirksville, Missouri; a nephew, Chad and his wife Morgan Burke and a niece, Julie and her husband Randy Robinson all of Avondale, Arizona; a great nephew, Alex Burke and a great niece, Kelly Robinson along with several cousins and a host of friends. Anne Marie is preceded in death by her husband Larry Minor on October 17, 1979, her father, Norman Burke; two brothers, Patrick and James Burke both in infancy.
