Effie R. Budman
Effie R. Budman, 81, of Hughesville, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at her home.
Born August 7, 1934 in Lairdsville, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur C. and Edna (Farnsworth) Rogers. She and her husband, Eddie Budman, celebrated 59 years of marriage on March 7, 2016.
Effie retired in 1997 from the former Commonwealth Bank, Hughesville, after having worked there for over 42 years. She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church, Hughesville, at enjoyed camping, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Brian E. (Jodi) Budman of Hughesville, and Joel L. (Amanda) Budman of Muncy; a sister, June Sayre of Hughesville; two granddaughters, Makenna R. Budman and Gracie A. Budman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Effie was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Warburton and Jean Heincelman; and a brother, Mike Rogers.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Pastor Jane L. O'Borski officiating. Burial will follow in Lairdsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
