"Mrs. Henry S. Buck
HUGHESVILLE - Mrs. Effie M. Buck, 77, wife of Henry S. Buck, of 140 South Broad Street, died at 10:35 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 1988, in Muncy Valley Hospital, following an extended illness.

She and her husband had owned and operated Buck Lumber Co. here for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Buck was a lifelong member of Pine Sunmit United Methodist Church.

Born Jan. 30, 1911, in Franklin Twp., she was a daughter of Charles N. and Mary Crist Farnsworth.

Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Larry C. (Sonny), and Richard L., both of Hughesville RD1, and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at McCarty-Thomas', 557 East Water Street, with the Rev. R. Wayne Hogue, pastor of Bethany United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Robert E. Berger, a Hughesville area Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Muncy Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday."
