Mary Virdia Brumbaugh, 97, of Marinette, WI, passed away August 18, 2018. She was born in Portland, OR, to Neal and Lillian Maw.

Mary married Michael Brumbaugh in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1988.

Mary graduated from Oregon State College in 1943 with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. She worked as a Home Extension agent, substitute teacher and office manager. She was a volunteer with the Oregon State Grange, PTA, 4-H Clubs, and the United Methodist Women, among other activities.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Brumbaugh (Leonard Matecki); step-children, Aaron (Nicole) Matecki, Shalyn Johnston and David (Whitney) Matecki; 10 step-grandchildren; and 8 nieces and nephews.
